  • Manage the various projects that involve the scope of Be a Rose’s Mission
  • Utilize interactive Project Management software to supervise and support current volunteers
  • Minimal (no more than 5%) local travel may be required to attend events where the mission of Be a Rose is featured or executed

  • Work closely with Project Manager and Board of Directors to produce quality donor records and financial reporting
  • Ensure accurate and consistent data available for mailings, reporting, and donor correspondence materials
  • Data entry
  • Report generation and maintenance
  • Bookkeeping, donation management, expense tracking and reporting of all monthly financial data to Project Manager
  • Prepare and execute newsletters and mailings
  • Engage donors, construct acknowledgement letters and other campaign materials
  • Availability 5 hours/week

Skills Required

  •   1 – 3 years prior database or development coordinator experience
  • Experience in fund development practices within a nonprofit organization
  • Professional presentation, with excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills and an energetic and engaging personality
  • Ability to work remotely and independently
  • Excellent organizational skills, with accuracy and attention to detail
  • Extreme confidentiality when handling donor information
  • Computer literacy, conference calling, and research skills


Bachelor's degree or equivalent in a related field




  • Provide holistic advising  to new student interns from a variety of backgrounds and academic goals to ensure their understanding of our mission and their responsibilities within Be a Rose and in conjunction with their academic department  
  • Utilize available technology and student interactions to provide targeted outreach to student interns
  • Meet individually with student interns to identify their challenges/needs and create success plans that offer academic, personal, and professional networking opportunities and growth
  • Proactively outreach to all academic institutions whose students are hosted as interns at Be a Rose, to assist in the creation and/or modification of student goals toward degree completion and graduation
  • Maintain knowledge of university resources related to student academic and career support services
  • Collaborate regularly with the Project Manager to ensure that all resources to best assist student interns are up to date and their work experiences are relevant to their career goals
  • Maintain detailed records of student interactions and develop processes for follow-up
  • Utilize telephone, email, social media, and student analytics to maintain ongoing contact with an assigned caseload of student interns to ensure their retention and  or satisfactory degree progress
  • Serve as a primary contact for academic departments and local university professors  
  • Demonstrate and nurture cultural competences when working with students, faculty, and staff
  • Other duties as assigned.

Master’s degree (preference will be given to candidates with a master’s degree in Student Development, Counseling, or a closely related field) OR bachelor’s degree plus equivalent relevant work experience


Public Relations Manager


  • Identify partnerships and audiences and determine the best approach for communicating with them
  • Develop and maintain the organization’s image and identity, including consistent use of logos and signage
  • Plan and execute/manage special events, such as vending opportunities at conferences, social events to unify and engage the team, and other events to establish our name in the community and gain public attention through the media
  • Collaborate with the communications manager to draft speeches and prepare press releases
  • Arrange speaking engagements and interviews for the organization’s president
  • Evaluate advertising and promotion programs
  • Establish and maintain relationships with local and municipal government officials and media representatives

Skills Required

  • Public Relations/Communications degree or progress toward degree
  • Strong teamwork and leadership skills

social media manager

Through this role you will give input in marketing and social media management within our charity organization.

Your responsibilities will include managing our existing social networking sites, as well as exploring and examining the latest trends, opportunities, and platforms to help us influence our current partners, supporters and donors. This is a position where you will be working closely with the President, User Experience Research Advisor and Project Manager. You will gain valuable hands-on experience and have the opportunity to have your ideas heard and implemented.


  • Develop and increase the flow of traffic to our Facebook,Twitter and Instagram platforms through an effective social media strategy and regular social media outreach online campaigns on Facebook,Twitter and other sites
  • Manage interactions between partners, supporters, and donors on behalf of the team by making regular posts
  • Track and evaluate analytics of client social media accounts
  • Participate in staff brainstorming sessions and offer guidance to other team members based on your expertise

Minimum Requirements:

  • You have a passion for ensuring that underserved women and girls receive adequate health education and feminine hygiene products in order for them to thrive.
  • Bachelor's degree or working towards degree completion in Marketing or related fields
  • Detail oriented with the ability to multi-task
  • Strong written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills
  • Interest in journalism, online media, virtual communities, and/or social platforms
  • Passion for traditional and digital marketing
  • Ability to communicate in a timely and professional manner
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word & Excel), and internet research (experience in use of MailChimp is a plus)
  • Photo-editing experience
